In honor of #FallFriday I'm spinning one of my all time favorite Fall albums: This Nation's Saving Grace from 1985. This is also one of the oldest records in my collection, having picked this up at a record store in Pittsburgh circa 1988, I think? I was already into The Fall by then and would've owned 1988's Kurious Oranj and Palace of Swords Reversed on cassette. I saw this random test pressing in the racks from them and figured how could I lose? How indeed.
Like Joy Division's "Still" album (bought from the same store at the same time), it also suffered the wrath of Molly The Cat- note the frayed side. Looks like it also got some water marks somewhere somehow. The years have not been kind to this record, however- it still plays great and without a skip! 👍🏼
