Now Playing: Paul Winter - Callings

Now Playing: Paul Winter - Callings

Another shitty night's sleep that turned into taking a day off work. It served me well, over all. Slept from about 7:30 to 9:30, ran out and got a chorizo burrito, ate the whole thing, went back to sleep until about 1:30. Even so, I find myself very irritated at technology today. Probably wise that I didn't even try to work. First, it couldn't play my music until I rebooted my phone, mesh devices and router. Then, I couldn't upload certain pics for this album because Google Photos on my phone sucks my ass. So I had to upload then download these photos manually from my laptop.

I picked this new age staple to help calm my ass down, but it's not. Besides the fact that it's giving me lots of crackle and pop, the music itself is kinda irritating me. I picked this up recently at Folk Arts Rare Records because it was a callback to my youth. My dad used to play lots of Paul Winter. I love the idea of this tree-hugging nature lover creating music in conjunction with animal calls. As it turns out, however, I don't love it today. Besides that, it turns out that I can really only handle so much soprano saxophone in one sitting.

Not my jam today, but I reserve the right to try again another day.
