Got a full night's sleep for once. Sarah woke up before me for once. Had some crazy fucked up dream that she and I were vacationing in some strange foreign land. I made a hair appointment at a Jamaican-looking style place across the street, for which I wound up being late. It wound up being this very strange spa-like experience. The vibes were less Jamaican and more Eastern European or Gypsy like. They sat me in a reclining chair and various men and women came by randomly to give me some exotic tea, or a snack, or dessert. They seemed very awkward and wildly distracted, the way dream figures often are for me. It's like they are trying to entertain me, a visitor to their strange world, but they have absolutely no idea how to really do that. But they try, and I love them for it.

It had the air of being almost like a bordello, and there were occasional suggestions that they were trying to make me "give the word" to allow them to go further. At one point I had a foot massage, and the woman giving it rested my foot between her ample breasts and kind of rubbed my foot on them as she massaged the foot with lotioned hands- all the while looking at me lasciviously. Instead of "going for it" in the dream, I thought the whole time "oh my God, this is nuts- wait til I tell Sarah about this!" I wouldn't even allow myself an erection, because it would be a betrayal to my bretrothed.

What's the opposite of a "wet dream"? This was a "dry dream" 😂

When I woke up about an hour or two after Sarah, I saw she was sleeping in the living room. I made some Chemex coffee and holed up in the listening room with the dogs. I put on this album, which I just picked up for $3 at Vinyl Junkies yesterday. It's a nice, quiet and dreamy record- a perfect companion to a full night's sleep and a fucked up dream.
