I already had this on vinyl when my friend Andrew told me about this new reissue from Third Man Records. I balked at first, but then decided to order it anyway. I was curious if it would sound any different than the version I had, which is apparently a 2019 repress. Long story short- I can't tell the difference. But no matter. I would buy this album 1000 times in thanks to JAMC for creating this timeless classic album. I always marvel at the fact that this came out in 1985, it sounds nothing like those times. I sounds like NO other times, it's ABOVE the times. When little teenage me bought this on cassette in the 80s, it totally blew my little mind. I wound up playing it so much that I wore out the tape and had to buy another one. I couldn't explain to you even now exactly why, but the sound and noise and attitude of this record just always struck a chord with me. If you've never heard this, I would encourage you to do yourself a favor and buy it immediately- and play it loud. Louder!
No, LOUDER!
