The weekend before last saw another lunch 'n' vinyl trip with my good friend Craig Danger. The old standard: The Station for lunch, then to Vinyl Junkies, finishing off with the Reverie Room. Got some great records here, including:
2 more Doc & Merle records to help fill in my Doc Watson collection (15 and growing)
Charley Crockett's "$10 Cowboy", one of my favorite newer country artists
a funky "Home Grown" album from Hawaii, and not associated with the "Homegrown" series from San Diego's KGB radio (of which I have 10). Seems like the same theme, however, only featuring local artists from Hawaii instead of San Diego. Was this "Homegrown / Home Grown" series more of a national franchise vs just a San Diego thing? I'll have to find out...
...plus much, much more. Really some great finds this time around!
