It's a pretty chill Friday after a rather busy ass week, so I'm celebrating by breaking out my newly arrived remaster of Cabaret Voltaire's "Code"!
I had this on cassette back in the day. I almost didn't purchase this remaster, as much as I love the Cabs. It was pricey, and I remembered not liking it nearly as much as their earlier stuff. It's definitely less experimental and more polished that their previous albums. But I'm glad I did, I'm really enjoying it. In my old age, not everything I listen to has to be some avant guard ear fuck, and this album sounds fresh, solid and groovy to me right now. Also- just beautiful packaging and design on this remaster. Looks and sounds great!
